The Scientific Research Unit works to enhance the idea of scientific research by providing a distinguished research environment for faculty members and students. It contributes to developing research skills based on creativity, quality, and innovation, reflecting positively on postgraduate studies. It also contributes to expanding the scope of scientific publishing locally, regionally, and internationally, thereby serving the needs of society, education, and quality of life. The unit also contributes to the college’s research center and scientific journal.

Tasks:

• Establish a database of the scientific output of faculty members in the college.
  

• Strengthen research activities in the college by preparing an operational plan for scientific research and following up on its implementation in departments.
  

• Raise awareness among faculty and students about the importance of scientific publishing in refereed journals locally, regionally, and internationally.
  

• Raise awareness among faculty and students about the services provided by the university to support researchers, such as language editing, proofreading, and correspondence with journals.
  

• Coordinate with the Deanship of Scientific Research and research centers in the university to support research in the college.
  

• Organize seminars and workshops related to research and publishing skills, in coordination with the Deanship of Skills Development or other relevant bodies.
  

• Organize specialized scientific meetings.
  

• Form internal, interdepartmental, or external research teams.
  

• Establish research chairs with relevant parties.
  

• Raise awareness about research excellence awards offered by the university.
