The Persian Language Program:

Persian is one of the essential Islamic languages spoken by about 140 million people, 89 million in Iran, and others in Afghanistan and Tajikistan. The modern Persian language has taken all the Arabic alphabets and added four letters to it and has become(is currently) written in Arabic letters, which facilitates its study for the Arabs, and is essential for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, given the large number of Iranian and Persian-speaking pilgrims. It must be noted that Persian is one of the languages spoken in India and Europe, too. Persian is also the language of ancient civilizations; works have been written in it from the most universal relics of the Islamic era.
