The Diploma of Competence in Arabic for Non-Native Speakers:
The program aims to develop the level of communication skills, through the following:
(a) Providing the student with the ability to understand what is heard( process information) from lectures, public discussions, and news bulletins, by focusing on the natural context of the language academically and culturally.
(b) Developing the student's advanced level of free verbal and written expression in different situations and topics.
(c) Enabling students with advanced reading skills in different fields.
(d) Introducing the student to aspects of Saudi culture.
In light of the objectives set for the Department of Linguistic Preparation for non-Arabic Speakers, the Department shall carry out the following tasks:
First: Teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, who are international students.
Second: Preparing and developing Arabic language education programs for non-native speakers based on: curricula, educational courses, and measurement and evaluation tools, according to the latest educational methods and language teaching techniques.
Third: Cooperating with the concerned authorities in preparing projects, programs, and courses that teach and implement the Arabic language to non-native speakers inside and outside the Kingdom and providing scientific advice on the evaluation and development of those programs and courses.
