About the Department:

The Department of Linguistic Preparation for Non-Arabic Speakers offers two programs for teaching Arabic to non-Arabic speakers:

1-The intensive program (Diploma Degree of Proficiency in Arabic Language for Speakers of Other Languages), for international students of both sexes(genders): It consists of four levels, the duration of each level is one semester, in which the student studies twenty (20) hours per week. 

2-The non-intensive program: It is intended for non-international students (scholarships) residing in the Kingdom of non-Arabic speaking genders, and includes: 

  • Course (Arabic for general purposes) Arabic for general purposes 

  • Courses (Arabic for special purposes) Arabic for special purposes  

  • Electronic Arabic language education programs for non-native speakers as needed, focusing on distance education.


Requirements for admission to a diploma (proficiency in Arabic for non-native speakers): 

First:The applicant must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. 

Second:His appreciation should not be less than (very good). 

Third: He has not previously studied in a similar program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

Fourth:To be free from learning obstacles. 

Fifth:He shall not be over twenty-five (25) years old. 


Classification and transition between levels: 

The student shall be enrolled at the appropriate level, based on his result in the classification test conducted for him after his admission. The student moves from one level to another after obtaining a percentage of (60%) or more of the total grades of the courses of that level.
